When my wife and I decided to start looking for our first house we were confused, disoriented, and nervous (pretty much your typical first time home buyers.) We began by looking into how much we could get preapproved for and attending a few open houses. We met Amanda Gould at one of the first open houses we attended. She just happened to be there filling in for one of her colleagues, luckily for us. Amanda immediately put both of our minds at ease. She didnt try to sell us the house we were looking at. Rather, she asked us about what we were looking for. She answered questions we didnt even know we had. We left that open house with a clear path forward for the first time. We asked Amanda to represent us during our home-buying experience and were both very glad we did.Amanda showed us a number of houses in the coming weeks. When we finally found the perfect house for us she made the transition to closing as quick and painless as we could have hoped for. Amanda was quite knowledgeable and made sure we got everything done right when it needed to get done. She didnt pretend to know everything and when she didnt have an immediate answer for us she got us one in a very timely manner. But, what truly set Amanda apart was her willingness to go way above the call of duty to help us buy our home.Mere hours before we were supposed to close on our house, the banks appraiser informed us of repairs to our house that would need to happen before we could move forward. Amanda came to our rescue! With her husband in tow, Amanda purchased all the supplies we needed and met my wife, my one-year-old, and me after work. Amandas husband kept my wife and son company while Amanda was outside. In the dark and a snowstorm she held a light for me while I worked. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Amanda. My family will forever be grateful to her for helping us to obtain our dream home.
